Steps that I realized to guide me in this project was:
Opportunities
Growing public interest in mental health has increased the demand for psychological services
Patients who subscribe to more structured plans are more likely to stay consistent in their therapeutic process, which can lead to more effective outcomes
Most existing therapy platforms are highly focused on patient needs, often neglecting the experience and motivation of therapists over time
Positioning the platform as client-centered and cost-effective by offering trial sessions at a reduced price or for free can help build trust and encourage long-term engagement
Hypotheses
With more people becoming informed about mental health care, the demand for accessible therapy platforms continues to rise
Having a more defined plan helps patients stay on track, improving long-term engagement and positively impacting their therapy journey
Current therapy platforms tend to prioritize patients, which may unintentionally cause therapists to feel like a lower priority, leading to dissatisfaction with the model over time
The client approached me with a clear goal - to create an online therapy platform that would offer high-quality care for patients while also making psychologists feel valued in their profession. As a psychologist himself, he identified a growing issue in the mental health field, more and more people are seeking accessible therapy options without compromising on quality, while professionals face the ongoing challenge of receiving fair compensation that truly reflects the value of their work.
